SIEMENS Dönemi iş hayatım 1996 Temmuz ayında başladı. SIEMENS’in o günlerde sonuçlanan bir ihale ile yüklendiği TAFICS (Turkish Armed Forces Integrated Communication System) projesini yönetmek üzere bu aileye katıldım. Bu projenin sorumlu olduğum birinci aşamasının tamamlanmasından sonra da Siemens’de devam ederek başka projelerde proje yöneticisi olarak, bir dönem de Siemens’in Kartal’daki Elektronik Üretim tesisinin teknik ve iş geliştirme yöneticisi olarak görev yaptım.
DC Power supply is an indispensable part of any design. Notebook adapters are cheap, of good quality, compact and with output power ratings around 80W. You can even find several of them in the hidden corners of the house, scrapped from old notebooks. It would be great if I could use them for my designs. But unfortunately they have weird output voltages like 16V, 22V etc. whereas I need 5V, 9V and 12V.
You need to know the display speed, if you intend to display things while your process is running. Displays are much slower compared to your uC and other similar processing components. Ignorance of the time, needed to display your data may result in failure.
In cases where you implement interrupts in your process, this issue becomes more complicated.
I have been playing with simple moving tables equipped with stepper motors since years.
Last year (2017) I decided to develop a “useful version” of the desktop CNC as a support tool for my hobby electronics. Once I started to have the first prototypes, it became a main hobby item itself with its never ending more and more improved versions.
I did not develop a Mach3 compatible interface, instead, I tried to develop a smarter device that directly accepts Gcode commands and executes them. We need to send it Gcode commands line by line. To do that, I developed a “streamer” and HMI of CNC that runs on a PC.
ARLA/TELETAŞ’ın kurucusu ve Genel Müdürü Sayın Fikret Yücel’in bu kurumun tarihçesini anlatmak üzere kaleme aldığı yayınlar var. Bu yayınlar, bu konuda olabilecek en yetkili ve bilgili kişinin anlatımı ile bu kurumun hikayesini sunuyor.
Bu yayınların gerçekleşmesi için rahmetli Sn Yurdakul Ceyhun da çok emek verdi, kendisini saygıyla anıyorum.
Sn Fikret Yücel’in yayınları ile yapmış olduğu hizmete benim de bir katkım olabilir mi diye düşündüm de. Neden olmasın? Ben de o yayınlarda anlatılanların tekrarından olabildiğince kaçınarak, daha çok “o ekipte yer almış”, arka planda cereyan eden pek çok olaydan da -en azından o zamanlar- haberi olmayan bir genç mühendisin penceresinden gördüğü kadarı ile birşeyler anlatabilirim herhalde.

Mostly only one or two of printed circuit boards are needed by hobbyists when developing a new device. When these boards are simple, so that they can be realized on a single sided PCB, I used to make them using photoresist spraying and chemical etching methods. I also tried to use photosensitized dry films and toner transfer methods. But none of them were practical enough, I was spending a lot of time and effort to have a PCB on my assembly table. Finally I decided to take another route: Engraving copper lamination of the blank PCB using my desktop CNC.
PTT ARLA ile 1974 de başlayan iş maceram yirmi yıl sonra 1994 de TELETAŞ’da sona erdi. Bu yıllar benim meslek hayatım açısından olduğu kadar Türkiye’nin elektronik haberleşme sanayiinde kayda değer bir dönem oluşturdu. Bu dönemi onar yıllık iki kısım halinde ARLA ve TELETAŞ olarak anlatmaya çalışacağım.

Babam ve amcamın bana katılamadığı daha sonraki yıllarda da kendi evlerimizi yapmaya devam ettim. Yani kelimenin tam anlamıyla kendim yaptım, sadece beton, duvar, sıva, ahşap doğrama gibi işlerle, seramik işleri için taşeronlar tuttum. Chinese made TFT Display ! You can not get any support, but low cost compensates that. Here is the help !
Terminals of two touch sensor resistors, one in X other in Y direction are connected to 4 pins of screen. These pins are shared with TFT display signals. Life is easier for Arduino users who just plug and go with “Arduino compliant” products.
Whereas, non Arduino users like me have to find out which pins are used on their TFT TP. Since I am a STM32 user, I had to find out my own way. I share it below for interested ones. Hope that will be helpful for someone. Continue reading “Accessing Touch Panel resistors of a TFT Display”
